Friday 11th March, 6.00pm, at Scargill House, Kettlewell: Leading your Children & Young People into Growth
For many years, the Leading Your Church into Growth has inspired and equipped churches to grow. Now, for the first time, the lessons and principles from the nationally-acclaimed course have been applied to work with older children and teenagers. The result is Leading Your Children and Young People into Growth.  Trialled earlier this year, and enthusiastically received by a group of mainly full-time youth workers, it is now being made available more widely. By popular request, a weekend has been booked at Scargill, enabling participation from those who work through the week.  It all happens from Friday March 11th to Sunday March 13th 2016 in the lovely surroundings of Scargill House, near Kettlewell, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. A wonderful location for what promises to be a great time of encouragement, teaching, prayer and fun. We will cover topics such as How do we grow in both numbers and spiritual depth How do we equip leaders? How do we create an effective plan for our group? How do we evangelise teenagers and older children? How and where do we find great resources and ideas? As well as Bishops Growth Adviser, Robin Gamble, there will be a team of leaders who will bring unique insights and experiences to the table.  This event will be suitable for anyone who works in churches amongst older children and teenagers. It will not be focused on work with younger children, Under 5s, or programmes such as Messy Church. Keep an eye on the Children & Youth Team blog for upcoming training in these areas. We hope that churches and PCCs will support people who wish to come by paying all or part of the Conference fee. Bookings are open NOW. We have a limited number of places, so move quickly - we expect places to fill up rapidly!
